Description

ONX Vapid Tavros brings a 2016 interceptor to lore-friendly patrol fleets. Tidemo built the vehicle with contributions by WiseGuy and JunkyWRX. Non-ELS lights, editable unit identification and supplied department liveries accompany the modular equipment selection.

The Tavros offers 200+ customisation options, accessed through native modkit categories and extras. Its shared parts match the ONX EVP/Gabz fleet, giving departments a common equipment design across vehicles.

Department finish and unit identity

LSPD, LSSD and SAHP liveries cover city, county and state patrol. Their designs match ONX EUP Clothing Pack uniforms. Livery templates and installation guides are supplied for preparing department branding.

A 5-digit callsign can be edited in game and coloured to match the unit’s identity. Body paint supports single-colour and two-tone arrangements independently of the livery. This leaves the department artwork, body finish and callsign colour as separate configuration choices.

The 16 unit tags include colourable and reflective-red variants. The role labels cover Supervisor and Command, Warden and Paramedic, SWAT and Gang Unit, plus K9 and Caution K9. Officers select these through the same native equipment controls used elsewhere on the vehicle.

Service roles from one model

The Tavros can serve LEO, EMS or DOC duties. It also supports Federal, Unmarked and Decommissioned configurations. Each of those roles uses the base vehicle with a chosen combination of modkit parts, extras, livery and tags.

Supervisors, dog units, undercover officers and EMS leadership can therefore use different visible configurations of the Tavros. The resource exposes those alternatives without requiring a duplicate model for each role.

Lighting and exterior loadouts

The emergency lighting runs synchronised non-ELS patterns. There is no client-side ELS dependency. The available lightbar equipment includes ALPR attachments as well as slicktop and undercover alternatives.

Jurisdiction-specific ram bars and player-controlled spotlights are included. Regular antenna arrays sit alongside specialist and tactical wobble variants. These choices cover the city, county and state presentations.

Custom wheels follow the AWD Vapid build. Rockstar-style dirt and crash mapping accompanies handling that mixes roleplay realism with arcade balance. The vehicle’s custom handling is supplied alongside its visual equipment configuration.

Console and storage arrangements

There are 50+ combinations of console, radio, laptop and siren-controller equipment. Dash radar is included. Gun racks can be fitted at the divider, roof or trunk, providing different locations within the vehicle.

The K9-ready rear compartment offers split K9/suspect seating and a full K9 setup. The split seating accepts colours from both the primary paint and secondary paint settings. Window bars and dividers are provided for these rear loadouts.

Animated lockboxes and drawers are included in the trunk. Storage can use an orderly presentation or a messy one. The selected rear layout and console equipment remain part of the same Tavros configuration rather than separate model variants.

Menu access and common parts

Labelled extras and native mod categories expose the equipment in game. An existing vehicle customisation menu can toggle the supplied options, with no proprietary interface required. The 200+ selection spans lighting, ALPR, cages, consoles, antennas, trunks, tags and further vehicle choices.

Lightbars, antennas, consoles, cages and tags use the universal parts library shared by other standalone ONX models. This is the link between the Tavros and the broader EVP/Gabz fleet: corresponding equipment follows a common design even when the base vehicles differ.

Files and model detail

The Tavros includes complete LOD stages, tuned polygon counts and compressed textures. Department artwork uses 2K liveries. The texture limits are YTD ≤ 1024 and embedded liveries ≤ 2048.

Spawn entry

  • Vapid Tavros (2013-2016): onx_poltavros

That identifier covers the base model and its selectable city, county and state finishes. The in-game menu supplies the department and role changes after the vehicle is spawned.

Framework and build setup

The Tavros installs as an add-on by placing its resources in the server. It follows a standard start order and supports QBCore, ESX, Qbox and standalone setups. Put the ONX resources in resources/[onx_vehicles], then add ensure [onx_vehicles] to server.cfg.

Some equipment requires Game Build 3095. The custom ALPR and lightbar choices depend on VMT_Lightbar, so that category must be available in the customisation menu. All other configuration is handled through the normal extras and modkit interface.

The menu is where officers set their callsign, choose the lightbar, select consoles and arrange the rear equipment. Neither the colourable callsign nor the general loadout selection requires external editing tools.

Documentation and terms

Support and documentation are included, covering templates, installation tutorials and setup practices.

Except for the buyer’s own liveries and textures, assets cannot be reuploaded, offered for resale or rebranded, and redistribution is prohibited. Department artwork can be prepared using the included templates.

For a configured patrol vehicle, the livery and unit identification define the department appearance. The interior, antenna and storage choices then define the working loadout. All of those selections remain on the same Tavros model and use its labelled in-game controls.

The shared library gives the Tavros matching equipment choices when it accompanies other standalone ONX vehicles in a department fleet.
