Sandstorm Box Truck Mod: Configurable Cargo

Vapid Sandstorm D205 is a standard-length commercial box truck with 3 configurable cargo positions. Tidemo built the lore-friendly vehicle from scratch for ONX. It gives FiveM delivery companies, warehouses and contractor fleets a truck whose visible freight can change with the job.

An animated rear door retracts for access to the cargo area. Bumper alternatives, hood choices and cosmetic additions allow different fleet presentations around the same box body. The truck can represent ordinary business deliveries, utility work or fictional criminal freight through its load selection and liveries.

Changing the visible load

The rear cargo positions are controlled by native vehicle modifications. Each can be set to a different cargo state, allowing a scripted job to show freight after loading and change it again when unloading. The vehicle provides the visual states; the server’s delivery or warehouse script controls the gameplay sequence.

Custom ONX props are included for loading interactions. A forklift script can use a pallet as the visible object being moved, then select the corresponding cargo state inside the truck. This links the prop outside the vehicle to the freight shown in the box body without requiring a different truck model.

Most remaining crate and pallet types can also be found among vanilla props. Those assets can complement the custom collection when a developer builds a loading workflow. The supplied pallets have their own files and texture dictionary, separate from the Sandstorm model.

Commercial artwork

There are 10 included liveries. They cover a clean truck and a selection of GTA business identities, allowing the same model to appear on postal routes, removal jobs, rental fleets or food deliveries. These designs accompany the physical cosmetic options rather than defining separate vehicle models.

The livery choice establishes the company appearance, while the cargo settings show what the current job carries. For example, a branded freight truck can use the relevant crate type inside its box body. The animated door supplies the loading-bay presentation when the truck arrives at a warehouse or business.

Customisation and construction

The vehicle’s bumper and hood options are part of a wider set of cosmetic additions. The package contains 106 YFT modification parts. These provide fleet variation on the scratch-built Sandstorm, with the standard-length body remaining the base for the customisation.

The truck has a full LOD chain.

Framework integration

The Sandstorm is a standalone vehicle resource and is not tied to a particular economy framework. ESX, Qbox and QBCore can use it, as can custom or standalone servers. Existing delivery scripts determine the job logic, while the truck supplies the model, door animation and cargo-state visuals.

Some features depend on Game Build 3095. The vehicle itself loads on standard builds, and older versions retain the truck and most options. A compatible build provides the resource’s complete feature set. This requirement sits alongside the ordinary add-on installation process.

1. Put the ONX resources in the server resources folder, using [onx_vehicles] as the suggested grouping directory.
2. Activate that group with ensure [onx_vehicles] in the server cfg.

The vehicle is then deployed through the server’s resource setup and job configuration. Custom livery artwork can give the truck another business identity in addition to the ten supplied designs.

Warehouse workflow scope

The modular load states support scripted pickup and delivery, but the resource is the vehicle component of that workflow. A server can connect native modifications to its own cargo logic, use the included props during forklift interaction and animate the rear access door for the visible loading scene. Those features can be used for contractor work, commercial freight or fictional gang logistics on the same chassis.

A delivery setup can use the clean livery for an unbranded contractor and change the cargo state to match the assigned freight. A branded fleet can use the named business artwork with the same native load controls. In either case, the retractable door and configurable cargo remain vehicle features, while the job script manages the route, loading sequence and delivery logic.

The props provide the separate freight objects used during those custom scripted loading scenes.

Usage licence

The ban on asset reuploading, resale and rebranding makes an exception for liveries and textures. Custom liveries may be sold or offered free when supplied as standalone livery models or textures with appropriate metadata. They must never include the original vehicle models. Redistribution remains forbidden.
