Rat-Truck ROD: Chopped Hot Rod

Bravado Rat-Truck ROD is a chopped and channelled hot rod for a lore-friendly car-culture roster. The vanilla edit keeps the Rat-Truck basis while changing its stance, cab and frame. Its exposed mechanical layout suits a custom garage, hot-rod group or meet scene.

Cab and chassis changes

The cab has a chop-top treatment. Beneath it, the body and lower frame are chopped and channelled to create the low stance. The front subframe is extended, increasing the wheelbase and giving the truck its longer outline.

The frame is exposed along the body, and the engine bay is fully visible. This leaves the mechanical layout on display rather than enclosing it within ordinary bodywork. The extended front section and lowered cab are the main changes to the Rat-Truck silhouette.

Radiator fans and colour

The radiator fans spin with animation. Each fan has 2 glowing LED strips, and those strips accept colour changes. Their placement adds a lit detail to the exposed engine-bay equipment.

Painting the strips black produces an almost non-LED appearance. A brighter colour gives the fans a more visible glow. This is the way to change that detail, letting the same truck use a subdued look or a brighter meet configuration.

The fan movement remains part of the model’s mechanical detail. Colour selection changes the strip appearance around it. That combination provides both an animated component and a visual choice within the exposed front-end arrangement.

Tuning and handling

There are 32 tuning parts available for the ROD. They provide different build choices around the chopped chassis. The custom ROD handling is configured for this truck’s long wheelbase and low body.

The tuning selection and LED colours provide different kinds of personalisation. Parts change the fitted equipment, while the colour choice changes the fan-light appearance. Both apply to the same vanilla-edit hot rod.

Interior, lighting and audio

The exterior and interior are modelled in detail. A properly formed cabin includes working dashboard dials, giving first-person driving the instrument function. Headlights and rear lights are correctly configured as part of the body equipment.

An audio preview pairs the ROD with the Legacy_DMC Classic V8, allowing that engine note to be heard alongside the truck’s appearance.

The cabin detail and working gauges complement the exposed exterior. Inside, the instruments provide the driving display; outside, the frame, engine bay and moving fans remain visible. Those features come together on this model.

Spawn and installation

The ROD installs as an ordinary add-on vehicle resource. QBCore, ESX and Qbox are compatible, along with standalone servers. Use the model identifier with the vehicle shop, garage or administrative menu provided by the chosen setup.

Put the resource on the server and ensure it in server.cfg. After it starts, the spawn name identifies the custom truck. The resource follows the same vehicle integration process across its supported frameworks.

The vehicle itself remains a lore-friendly Bravado vanilla edit with the custom chassis changes included above.

Hot-rod roster use

The ROD is intended for mechanic-led roleplay, hot-rod groups and car meets. Its chopped roof and stretched front section distinguish it within that setting, while the visible frame and moving fans expose the mechanical details. The tuning parts and fan colours allow different appearances on the same underlying build.

The files for its chopped body, extended chassis and custom vehicle equipment form the complete Rat-Truck ROD resource, totalling 21MB. That total accompanies the individual YFT and YTD limits above. The ROD’s front fans provide visible animation, while their LED strips supply the colour choice. Painting them black changes the lighting appearance without removing the exposed engine-bay layout that defines the truck’s rat-rod design.

The ROD’s audio preview pairs the chopped truck with the Legacy_DMC Classic V8. The preview lets the engine note be heard before installation.
