Description

Vapid Sandking D155 rollback trucks give recovery businesses a choice between a short-wheelbase truck and a crew cab. The lore-friendly FiveM pack is intended for impound yards, mechanics, civilian towing and county fleets. Both vehicles include an animated deck, underreach choices and warning equipment for roadside recovery scenes.

Choosing a cab

  • Vapid Sandking D155 Rollback — 2-door body with a short wheelbase.
  • Vapid Sandking D155 Crew Cab Rollback — crew configuration, 4-door model with 5 seats.

The shorter vehicle suits solo recovery assignments and tighter city scenes. The crew cab carries a larger mechanic or impound team to a job in the same truck. Both retain the same rollback animation and underreach selection, so the fleet can use either body without changing its recovery-equipment family.

Operating the deck

The bed animation is built into the vehicle. Shift and Ctrl move the rollback deck into position for loading, allowing a damaged vehicle to be driven onto it during the recovery sequence. These keyboard controls are available with the model and do not need a separate script to animate the bed.

A mod index is exposed for developers adding custom towing logic. It can be used for the rollback or underreach, including a scripted control arrangement that operates while the player is outside the truck. This provides an integration point for the server’s own recovery workflow.

  • Player-controlled animated rollback deck.
  • Keyboard bed movement through Shift / Ctrl.
  • Exposed mod index for custom integration.
  • Support for scripted operation from outside the cab.

Underreach configurations

Each truck includes five underreach options. The configurations provide different attachment presentations for a developer to connect to towing logic. Their presence in the model is separate from the server script that controls a particular recovery job.

  • Wheel Grapples — front-wheel lift configuration.
  • Axle Hooks — direct axle attachment.
  • Extended Ramps — rail extension for lower-clearance vehicles.
  • Extended Wheel Grapples — additional reach for difficult positions.
  • Extended Axle Hooks — extended arrangement for larger recoveries.

The standard and extended options let a recovery setup use the rig style appropriate to the scene. The animated deck can handle the visible loading sequence, while a custom script can connect the selected underreach to its towing functions. Both truck bodies expose the same general recovery capabilities.

Warning lights and signs

Amber warning lighting is supplied for roadside scenes. Holding H activates a warning light that animates upwards. The MOVE / SLOW signs cycle when the lights are switched on, adding a visible traffic-warning display alongside the amber package.

These warning features are part of the vehicle equipment. They accompany the rollback controls rather than replacing the towing integration points. A roadside scene can therefore show the raised light and cycling signs while the player positions the bed for loading.

Exterior customisation and liveries

Cosmetic choices on each model cover mirrors, grille treatments, bumpers, hood options, running boards, mudflaps and roof details. These allow the shorter truck and crew cab to take distinct fleet appearances while sharing their recovery hardware. The pack includes 4 scratch-made liveries per truck, giving eight supplied livery applications across the pair.

  • Not for Hire (Light)
  • Not for Hire (Dark)
  • Camel Towing
  • Highway Clearance

The plain light and dark designs suit civilian use, while the company and clearance artwork covers towing and county-style assignments. The same livery names are available on both vehicles, supporting a matched recovery fleet with different cab capacities.

Installing the recovery vehicles

The trucks are standalone vehicle resources and work with QBCore, Qbox, ESX or custom frameworks. Existing garage, job and towing scripts can deploy them through the server’s normal vehicle systems. The framework choice does not alter the built-in deck animation or the body variants.

  1. Place the ONX resources beneath the server resources folder in [onx_vehicles].
  2. Include the start directive ensure [onx_vehicles] in the server cfg.

Some features require Game Build 3095. The resource installation and native bed controls form the base workflow; custom towing functions can then use the exposed mod index as required by the server.

File and geometry reference

Full LOD chains are supplied for both trucks. The models have modification files and geometry from L0 through L4.

Recovery workflow

The built-in controls handle the visible deck movement, while the underreach options offer different rig arrangements for script integration. That distinction lets a server keep its existing tow-job logic and use the supplied vehicle features around it. A mechanic can position the deck with the keyboard, and a developer can extend the interaction through the exposed index.

The cab choice determines crew capacity. The short-wheelbase model provides the smaller recovery vehicle; the crew cab adds passenger room for an impound or county team. Both receive the warning package and the same named livery selection.
