Description
The Vapid Yankee Type 1 ambulance equips EMS crews with a scratch-made vehicle and a rear cabin they can walk through. Its eight seats and configurable medical loadouts suit patient scenes and emergency response roleplay. Vapid styling keeps the rig lore-friendly within Los Santos, with non-ELS lighting for the fleet.
Tidemo built the ambulance from scratch. Contributions came from JunkyWRX, CanisterDog, Momo, Dayashii and WiseGuy. The body panels, light clusters, antenna mounts and gurney rails were modelled for the Yankee, giving it the equipment and appearance of a Type 1 medical rig under the Vapid identity.
Patient cabin and equipment
For patient scenes, medics can walk through the rear cabin. Heart-monitor and gurney choices form part of the configurable interior. Console, radio, siren-controller and laptop setups accompany the medical loadouts, allowing units to use different cabin arrangements.
The walkable rear area makes the cabin available for patient scenes alongside the exterior emergency response role. Gurney equipment, the monitor and the chosen console setup can be configured per unit. The same rig can therefore use its medical equipment selections alongside the department’s callsign and livery.
- A walkable patient compartment.
- Configurable heart-monitor equipment.
- Gurney loadout choices.
- Console and radio arrangements.
- Siren-controller and laptop setups.
- Eight seats in the Type 1 ambulance.
Departments and callsigns
The included department artwork covers Mission Row SA (MRSA), LS Fire Department (LSFD) and SA First Responders (SAFR). Various department and hospital liveries accompany the fully scratch-built rig. The artwork uses 2K liveries and aligns visually with the ONX EUP Clothing Pack.
A 3-digit callsign can be edited and recoloured. It appears in multiple places on the ambulance, giving the unit visible identification around the body. The in-game customisation menu controls that system, so dispatch can assign or change a callsign without restarting the resource.
- SA First Responders (SAFR) liveries.
- LS Fire Department (LSFD) liveries.
- Mission Row SA (MRSA) liveries.
- Editable, colourable callsign identification.
- Livery templates for custom department branding.
- Installation guides included with the vehicle.
Exterior equipment and lighting
Bumper and brushguard options support rural-response and city-rig appearances. Multiple antenna layouts are available per unit. Custom wheels suit the Vapid brand and the Type 1 body. These options are accessed through modkit and extras, with labels on the native extras and mod categories for in-game toggling.
Lighting is non-ELS and its patterns remain synchronised. Players need no ELS installation on the client. Different configurations do not require duplicate vehicle models. The ambulance uses the universal equipment style of the wider ONX EVP fleet, covering lightbars, antennas, consoles, gurneys and interiors.
Other ONX standalone models use the same included universal parts library. Standard customisation menus can expose the ambulance’s equipment choices; a custom menu is not required to swap parts. The native controls allow the unit’s livery, consoles, antennas, gurney and callsign to be selected in game.
Driving and asset construction
- Full LODs accompany the scratch-made model.
- Polycounts are tuned across the model.
- Textures use compression.
- YTD ≤ 1024.
- Embedded liveries ≤ 2048.
- Rockstar-style mapping covers dirt and crash appearance.
- Custom handling blends roleplay realism with arcade balance.
The handling blend provides the rig’s driving character for EMS duties, including 911 response roleplay. Its lighting, walkable cabin and equipment selections accompany that role. Medical crews can configure the interior for patient handling while fire and rescue departments use the appropriate included artwork and exterior options.

Preparing the ambulance for service
Install this FiveM add-on using its drag-and-drop structure and standard start order. It works with common framework setups, including Qbox, ESX and QBCore, without needing framework-specific scripting. Some features require Game Build 3095.
- Add ONX vehicle resources to [onx_vehicles] within the server resources folder.
- Put
ensure [onx_vehicles]into server.cfg. - Use an in-game customisation menu to select the liveries, consoles, antennas, gurneys, callsigns and other unit options.
Support is included. The documentation includes templates, installation tutorials and best-practice guidance alongside the vehicle’s installation guides.
Asset licence
Reuploading, resale or rebranding of the assets is prohibited, except for liveries and textures. Redistribution is forbidden.
Within those permissions, the included templates support custom department liveries. The existing SAFR, LSFD and MRSA artwork can also be used for units that need those identities. Callsign editing and per-unit interior configuration remain available through the native customisation options.
Equipping a medical unit
The department livery, callsign and cabin setup can be selected for an individual ambulance. A unit using SAFR artwork can carry its assigned 3-digit identity, while the monitor, gurney and console choices prepare the interior for patient scenes. LSFD and MRSA artwork provide other included department finishes. The callsign is visible in multiple locations and can be reassigned through the menu without a resource restart.
Bumper and brushguard choices allow the exterior to take a city or rural-response appearance. Antenna layouts and the custom Vapid wheels accompany the Type 1 body. Inside, medics retain access to the walkable rear compartment for patient handling. Those medical and exterior equipment choices sit within the native modkit and extras system, with labelled controls available through a standard customisation menu.
