Description

Merit Classic Police Car gives a FiveM department an early-80s patrol shape with modular equipment. The 1985 Declasse Merit Classic Interceptor is a lore-friendly vanilla edit credited to Dayashii. WiseGuy, Tidemo and JunkyWRX also contributed.

Its square body and period character suit a classic-era fleet. The car uses equipment related to the wider ONX EVP and Gabz-compatible range, allowing the older cruiser to share visual details with other patrol vehicles.

Roles and department coverage

LSPD, LSSD and SAHP liveries provide city, county and state coverage. The same model can be configured for LEO, EMS, DOC, Federal, Unmarked or Decommissioned use. Role changes use the vehicle’s modular equipment instead of requiring a separate model for each loadout.

Body paint is independent of the livery. Both single-colour and two-tone configurations are supported, giving departments paint choices without having to rebuild their livery textures. The supplied liveries also align with the ONX EUP Clothing Pack for related officer and vehicle appearances.

Lighting and exterior identification

Non-ELS lighting uses synchronised patterns and requires no client ELS installation. Lightbar configurations include ALPR attachments, slicktop arrangements and undercover variants. Player-controlled spotlights and jurisdiction-specific ram bars provide further exterior equipment.

Unit identification includes an editable, colourable 5-digit callsign system. The 16 unit tags offer red-reflective finishes as well as colourable versions. The labels include Warden and SWAT, Supervisor and Gang Unit, Paramedic and Command, as well as K9 and Caution K9.

  • Synchronised non-ELS emergency lighting.
  • Configurable lightbars and ALPR attachments.
  • Slicktop and undercover choices.
  • Editable callsigns with colour control.
  • Jurisdiction-specific ram bars.
  • Spotlights operated by the player.

Cabin, antennas and boot options

The interior selection contains 50+ loadouts covering console equipment and laptops, radio units and siren controllers. A dashboard radar is supplied, plus divider-mounted, roof-mounted and boot gun racks. These choices let the cabin follow the selected unit role.

Antenna arrays cover city, county and state arrangements. Regular, specialist and tactical wobble variants are available. The boot includes animated lockboxes and drawers, with both organised and untidy layouts supplied.

The universal parts library is shared with other ONX standalone models. Lightbars, antennas, consoles, cages and unit tags therefore follow a related design across the range. This common equipment provision applies even when a fleet combines classic and newer base vehicles.

Visual treatment and handling

Custom RWD Classic Steelie Declasse wheels accompany the period cruiser. The car includes 2K liveries, complete LODs, controlled polygon counts and compressed textures. Rockstar-style dirt mapping and crash mapping are also part of the visual setup.

Custom handling blends a realistic roleplay character with arcade balance. That is the intended driving approach for the cruiser.

  • Full vehicle LOD coverage.
  • YTD textures limited to 1024.
  • Embedded liveries limited to 2048.
  • Period-style custom Declasse wheels.
  • Dirt and crash effects in the Rockstar style.

In-game configuration

More than 200 customisation options are exposed through modkit and extras. Categories and extras are labelled, and a normal customisation menu can access them. The vehicle does not require a dedicated menu script for its equipment choices.

Lightbars, liveries, ALPR, cages, consoles, antennas, boot layouts and tags can be configured through those controls. The model remains the same underlying cruiser while the equipment changes. This lets the Merit serve LEO, EMS, DOC, Federal, Unmarked and Decommissioned roles.

Resource installation

The Merit uses a drag-and-drop add-on structure with the standard start order. Inside the server resources directory, create [onx_vehicles] as a folder and copy the ONX vehicle resources into it. Add ensure [onx_vehicles] to server.cfg.

A customisation menu then exposes the vehicle’s modkit and extras. Add the VMT_LIGHTBAR category to that menu for custom ALPR and lightbar selections. The category was introduced in build 3095, and Game Build 3095 is required for those functions.

The core vehicle runs on standard builds. Callsigns, two-tone paint, antennas, boot layouts, tags and the other modkit choices remain available regardless of build. The build requirement specifically concerns the custom lightbar and ALPR category.

Package and use conditions

The product contains the vanilla-modified Declasse Merit Classic, its city, county and state liveries, and the shared parts library. Templates, installation tutorials and documentation are included, with support included alongside templates, tutorials and configuration guidance.

Common frameworks are supported, with no hard framework lock or encryption. The product is standalone.

  • All assets except liveries and textures are subject to the bans on reuploading, reselling and rebranding.
  • Liveries and textures are excepted from all three prohibitions.
  • Redistribution is prohibited.

For a department roster, the Merit’s period body is paired with the same modular equipment approach used by the wider ONX range. Its callsigns, livery coverage and shared parts allow a classic patrol unit to retain the department’s visual identity.

The period identity also comes from the custom wheel choice. RWD Classic Steelie Declasse wheels accompany the boxy body rather than changing the car into a newer patrol design. The equipment system then supplies modern configuration depth around that older base.

Department selection and unit assignment are separate visual decisions. City, county and state liveries identify the jurisdiction, while the callsign, tag and equipment loadout identify the specific unit. The matching clothing provision relates those liveries to the ONX EUP Clothing Pack used by officers.

Templates accompany the supplied department liveries.

The classic-era body works alongside modern ONX patrol equipment, with the common parts library keeping consoles, cages and antennas visually related across the fleet.

LSPD, LSSD and SAHP liveries can be adapted with the included templates. Their graphics work independently of single-colour or two-tone paint. An officer can retain the chosen department identity while selecting a callsign, tag and equipment loadout for the individual unit.
