Description

The Declasse Merit Cruiser supplies an everyday civilian car for Los Santos. This full-size sedan has the boxy shape of a 90s daily driver, with vanilla styling suited to suburban characters, budget personal cars and company fleets. It is free to download and is a lore-friendly add-on for FiveM.

Dayashii modified the vanilla vehicle, and the ONX Development Team built it for roleplay use. Its understated shape suits a tow-yard owner’s personal car, an older family sedan or a low-income character’s daily transport. It can also fill a rental fleet or serve as background city traffic when a traffic resource is configured for it.

Body and tuning choices

The Merit retains its civilian silhouette while offering options for stock-looking and lightly modified builds. Owners can select front and rear body parts, change the grille and bonnet, and choose an exhaust. The options also support fleet variants and period-style personal projects.

  • 5 spoilers, from stock-style finishes to subtle period modifications.
  • 2 front bumpers for factory-style or lightly customised appearances.
  • 2 rear bumpers to accompany the chosen front-end styling.
  • 3 front diffusers.
  • 3 rear diffusers.
  • 8 exhaust options for daily-driver and street-tuned builds.
  • 5 headlight choices for newer-looking or aged daily cars.
  • 4 grille designs to change the front appearance.
  • 6 bonnets with stock and modified choices.
  • 3 sunstrips for the windscreen.
  • 12 liveries for civilian, fleet and company appearances.

The tuning allows a family sedan to retain a restrained appearance, or a personal car to carry light modifications. Bumper and diffuser choices affect both ends of the body, while the bonnet and grille alter its front identity. Exhaust, spoiler and sunstrip choices complete the selection around the same base Merit.

Headlight options can accompany a fresh-looking fleet vehicle or an older daily driver. The liveries provide civilian and company appearances, allowing the sedan to serve more than one fleet or character role. Those finish choices sit alongside the tuning rather than changing its underlying boxy shape.

Civilian uses

  • Daily transport for civilian characters.
  • An older family car for suburban roleplay.
  • A company or fleet vehicle using custom liveries.
  • Background traffic for a city vehicle pool.
  • A budget or beater-style car for low-income characters.

The same model can be used in a player garage, a rental business or a traffic pool. Fleet companies can create branded versions, and individual owners can choose different exterior options for their personal car. Its Declasse identity and vanilla appearance remain suited to the game’s existing roads and vehicles.

1991-1996 Merit measurements

  • onx_merit2_hi.yft: 2.4MB
  • onx_merit2.yft: 1.1MB
  • onx_merit2.ytd: 0.1MB
  • Combined YFT/YTD footprint: well under 4MB
  • L0: 104,532
  • L1: 18,713
  • L2: 9,176
  • L3: 5,362
  • L4: 594
  • Maximum YTD resolution: 1024×1024
  • YTD texture count: 12
  • Maximum embedded-livery YFT resolution: 2048×2048

The model has five populated LOD steps, from the close-view body to distant traffic geometry. Its textures are capped at the maximum resolution above. These construction features accompany the Merit when it is used as a personal vehicle or configured for traffic.

Server installation and traffic setup

  1. Create [onx_vehicles] in the server resources folder and add the ONX vehicle resources.
  2. Enable them in server.cfg using ensure [onx_vehicles].

As a vanilla-modified add-on vehicle asset, the sedan works with ESX, Qbox, QBCore and standalone setups. Existing garage, rental and job systems can handle the vehicle natively. It is a vehicle asset with no framework-bound script requirement.

AI traffic does not include the Merit automatically. Add-on traffic needs a dedicated traffic resource, configured to include the sedan. Once that resource includes the model, the Merit can serve the background traffic role alongside its use in garages and company fleets.

Some features need Game Build 3095, so a compatible game build is required for full functionality. The vehicle uses a one-time installation.

Licence and livery releases

Reuploading, resale and rebranding of assets are prohibited except for liveries and textures. Redistribution is also prohibited.

Liveries for these vehicles may be offered free or sold with appropriate meta data. Releases must contain standalone livery models or textures. They must never bundle the vehicle’s original model. These permissions allow civilian and company designs to be distributed within the livery rules while keeping the underlying vehicle subject to its asset restrictions.

For grounded civilian roleplay, the Merit combines a familiar Declasse body with a choice of stock and lightly modified finishes. Family cars, budget personal transport and company vehicles can use its tuning and livery range, while a separately configured traffic resource can add the same sedan to the city’s background roads.

Finishing a daily driver

A stock-style spoiler and bumper selection can suit a family sedan, while alternative bonnets and exhausts allow a lightly modified personal car. Headlight choices offer another way to give the same Merit a newer-looking or aged appearance. For a company fleet, the livery range can accompany that body configuration. A rental vehicle or budget character car can also use these options, retaining the civilian proportions and Declasse identity of the 1991-1996 model.
