Description
Declasse Merit Police Interceptor brings a mid-90s cruiser to a lore-friendly FiveM fleet. The 1996 build is a vanilla edit by Dayashii, with contributions credited to WiseGuy, Tidemo and JunkyWRX. It uses the 1991-1996 Merit platform.
The vehicle uses non-ELS lighting and a modular equipment selection. Native extras and modkit categories handle the changes, allowing the same chassis to serve different departments and unit roles. No ELS dependency is required on the client.
Patrol identity
RWD Steelie Declasse wheels give the Merit its period patrol appearance. LSPD, LSSD and SAHP liveries are supplied for city, county and state configurations. The artwork uses 2K liveries and aligns visually with the ONX EUP Clothing Pack.
A department can select a single-colour or two-tone finish without tying that paint choice to the livery. The callsign control is editable, uses a 5-digit format and allows colour changes. It identifies the individual unit alongside the department artwork and role tags.
One Merit across service roles
- LEO and EMS configurations.
- DOC and Federal configurations.
- Unmarked and Decommissioned configurations.
All of these are configurations of 1 vehicle model. Labelled extras and mod categories switch the equipment, so the package does not require a different spawn for every department role. Its synchronised light patterns also avoid duplicate-model arrangements for lighting.
The total customisation range is 200+ options. Lightbar, antenna, console, cage and trunk choices are accessible through the native system. A regular vehicle customisation menu can expose those settings, without a separate custom user interface.
Lightbars and exterior equipment
The lightbar selection includes ALPR fittings as well as slicktop and undercover versions. Ram bars vary with jurisdiction, and spotlights are controlled by the player. The antenna selection spans regular, specialist and tactical wobble versions, suited to city, county or state builds.
These fittings share their design with the ONX EVP and Gabz fleet. Common lightbars, aerials, consoles, cages and tags give the Merit the same equipment language as other vehicles using the universal library. It can therefore join patrol and specialist selections while retaining the older Merit body.
Unit tags
The vehicle includes 16 unit-tag options. Colourable and red reflective versions are available, covering department responsibilities:
- Supervisor.
- Command.
- Warden.
- Paramedic.
- SWAT.
- Gang Unit.
- K9.
- Caution K9.
These markings identify a unit’s duty, while the callsign records its individual identity. They can be selected alongside the department livery and paint arrangement, giving command, canine and other specialist units different markings on the same sedan.
Cabin and trunk configurations
The Merit provides 50+ interior loadouts. Consoles, radios, siren controllers and laptops form part of that selection. Dash radar is supplied, with gun racks at the divider, roof and trunk.
The trunk includes animated lockboxes and drawers. Organised and messy layouts are available, allowing equipment storage to take different visual forms. Trunk selections remain part of the in-game configuration range rather than separate model files for each arrangement.
Interior and exterior options use labelled controls. The existing vehicle menu configures liveries, lightbars, ALPR attachments, antenna arrays, cages, consoles, trunks and unit tags in game.
Handling and visual behaviour
Custom handling combines a realistic roleplay feel with arcade balance. The dirt and crash mapping follow Rockstar’s visual approach. These features accompany the period body and equipment without moving the model outside GTA V’s lore-friendly styling.
The model contains the full set of LODs and compressed textures. Texture limits on the Merit are 1024×1024 for YTD files and 2048×2048 for embedded liveries. The 2K artwork covers LSPD, LSSD and SAHP.
Library and vehicle measurements
The shared library contains 227 YFT mod parts at 35.21MB total. Its L0 polygon maximum is 9,451, and every shared mod part includes L0-L2 detail stages. This library is reused by the wider ONX vehicle range.
The Merit’s own resource is separate from that shared inventory. The high-detail drawable, standard drawable and texture dictionary total roughly 6MB combined. There are also 107 vehicle-specific YFT mod parts, below 0.5MB.
The main mesh starts at 134,972 polygons for L0 and reduces through the intermediate stages to 1,555 at L4. Its YTD has 43 textures. Its body and shared ONX fittings provide the period sedan’s configurable emergency equipment.
Installing and exposing the menu options
The package is a standalone add-on using a drag-and-drop structure and standard start order. QBCore, ESX and Qbox are compatible, as are common framework arrangements without special integration.
- Store the ONX vehicle resources under
[onx_vehicles]in the server resources directory. - Place
ensure [onx_vehicles]inserver.cfg. - Configure the vehicle through a menu supporting native extras and mod categories.
- Include
VMT_LIGHTBARto show custom ALPR and lightbar selections.
Build 3095 is required for certain features, particularly that lightbar category. It must be exposed in the menu as well as supported by the server build. The remaining equipment continues to use the vehicle’s native configuration system.
Documents, credits and terms
Livery templates, install tutorials and guidance are provided with the package. The ONX Development Team is credited for the release. Showcase screenshots are credited to JsH.
The assets are protected against reuploading, resale and rebranding under the licence, with an exception specifically for textures and liveries. Redistribution is prohibited.
