FiveM Tow Trucks for Mechanic and Impound Jobs 0

A tow job only works when the truck can actually move a car. These lore-friendly FiveM tow trucks are rollbacks with animated beds that tilt and slide back, so a damaged or impounded vehicle can be loaded and carried away. Most come as a pair: a short-wheelbase truck for one driver and a crew cab with five seats.

Rollbacks from four Vapid and Bravado families

The range covers the Vapid Sandking D155, Yankee C105, Yankee C130 and Sandstorm, and the Bravado Bison 25XD and 35XD. Each pack gives you two body styles of the same truck, so a tow company can run a small truck for city calls and a crew cab for jobs that need a second mechanic. The Vapid Sadler LT-450 is a different tool: a heavy pickup with a working tow hitch for trailers, suited to ranch, haulage and tow-yard roleplay.

If you are setting up a recovery business from scratch, the Tow & Recovery Fleet groups the rollback packs with a Dinka Cody mechanic truck in one purchase.

What to check on a FiveM tow truck

  • Bed controls. Find out which keys raise, tilt and slide the deck, and test them from the driver's seat.
  • Underreach. Several packs offer a choice of underreach equipment. Pick the one that matches how your server tows.
  • Warning lights. Amber roadside warning lights make a recovery scene readable to passing players. Check they sync to a second client.
  • Seats. Most crew cabs carry five. Confirm every seat is usable before you hand a truck to a team.
  • Liveries. Some trucks include company liveries; the Bison rollbacks have 4 per truck.

Connecting the truck to your tow script

The models are vehicles, not jobs. Towing itself, meaning attaching a car to the bed, impound fees, job pay and keys, comes from your server's own tow or mechanic resource. Several rollbacks, including the Sandstorm, Yankee C105 and Bison, have scriptable rear or underreach equipment that can be connected to a custom towing script; read each product page for what the bed animation does on its own.

Add each spawn name to the tow job's garage, then run a full cycle with two players: spawn the truck, load a car, drive it to the impound lot, unload it and store the truck. Watch the same scene from the second client to make sure the bed and the loaded car stay in sync.

Picking the right size

A short-wheelbase rollback is easier to place on tight city streets and suits a solo operator. A crew cab brings a mechanic or an impound team to the same call. Many servers run both: short trucks for everyday calls and a crew cab for supervisors or larger recoveries.

Tow Trucks: questions

Do these FiveM tow trucks actually tow cars?

The rollbacks have animated beds you control from the truck. Attaching a car to the bed and the tow job around it come from your server's own tow or mechanic script, so test the two together before going live.

Are the tow trucks lore friendly and debadged?

Yes, and debadged. They are Vapid and Bravado trucks from GTA's own lineup, built or remastered for FiveM, with no real-world manufacturer badges or logos.

What is the difference between the SWB and crew cab rollbacks?

The short-wheelbase truck has 2 doors and suits solo operators and tight streets. The crew cab has 4 doors and 5 seats, so a mechanic or impound team can ride to a job together.

Do they work with ESX, QBCore and Qbox?

The vehicles are framework-independent. Your framework's tow, mechanic and garage scripts decide who can spawn them, how towing works and where impounded cars go.

Is there a bundle for a whole tow company?

Yes. The Tow & Recovery Fleet pack includes the Sandking, Yankee, Sandstorm and Bison rollback selections and a Dinka Cody mechanic truck.
